As we walk through this Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox) Jewish neighborhood (מאה שערים), it is like taking a step back into time because it is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Jerusalem. The people living in this area are very religious and expect others walking through this neighborhood to keep to their laws, dress codes, and respecting Shabbat.

In this video you will see most of the men wearing long black coats, black hats, with long beards, and the women dress very modestly with long sleeves, wigs, or some kind of head covering. They are all expected to dress like this, even in the heat of the summer!
