Today we ask our fellow Sea of Thieves Pirates what they think the best and the worst thing in Sea of Thieves is to them. Looking forward to hearing your answers in the comments down below!

Also im thinking when we get the discord going, it might be cool to have the community videos have the viewers more involved, as much as i enjoy running around asking people these questions, if people sent in a clip of them answering the question in the game and then i would compile it into a video for all to see, that would be great! how sociable the game is and the interactions between players, the theme allows for the most fun interactions ive ever had in gaming

worst thing?

how everything from the previous season's plunder pass is forever gone after that season is finished, it'd be nice for that old stuff to be incorporated into the game somehow, like a new merchant who exclusively sells previous season items for an insane price (100k gold minimum) or allowing players to switch over to a previous season's plunder pass and complete it, like how deep rock galactic did

Best is having the freedom to fight other ships how you want during highly contested events. The worst is the servers. Too much lag. Too many crashes. The way rare handles public relations is also pretty bad.

Best Thing: The naval combat. Rare achieved something special with how they balanced out the core aspects of naval fighting. Cannons, repairs, and helming. It's a wonderful trio of elements that are well balanced, making naval engagements super addicting. It's essentially the equivalent of a pure FPS' "grenade, gun, melee" foundation to combat (ex, Halo). The actual TDM/gun fighting is not nearly as well thought out, unfortunately.

Worst thing: Server stability and bugs. I've never played a more unstable game in my life.

I’d say the story is the best thing in the game and the worst thing is alliance system I don’t care about mutiny that’s fine, you can double cross it’s a pirate game but the open crew is awful you shouldn’t need a discord server to play with like minded people, you know how the reapers mark works I’d like a thing maybe at the outposts where you can raise a call to arms marker and if people actually want to help they can come over or I guess you could repurpose the quest board for a way to advertise it, if I said I’m trying to do glitter beard you could accept the quest and they appear on your map

this is a tough question and the answer is not simple. You see..the best thing in SoT is Lore and tall tales but the worst thing is lack of lore from the last 2 years!

The best thing IMO is the sense of discovery, this is most common in new playere. New playere get to explore so many islands features discover tips and tricks from pirates learn from that mistake, its an incredible feeling of discovery not knowing where your journey will go next. But once you've found everything that brings

The worst thing IMO, Repetetiveness, the game just feels way WAY to grindy with underwhelming rewards, and I feel like instead of adding more content, why not start adding to the content you have. Take for example talltales, I feel a good way to make people play is by giving a multiple choice scenario like heart of fire, that way players can experience new things whilst also doing the commendations easily. Another fun Idea I had is with seaforts, imagine if once you conquer one you have a little mini fort for yourself where you can change clothes and vanity get supplies, but also have a way to easily sell loot via a cargo vessel given from the conquistadors on the seafort, you can choose wheather you wanna defend the ship cargo vessel to get the loot sold safely, or leave it at the cost of it potentially being plundered.

Sorry for the rant I just feel like this game is focused with quantity rather than quality when it comes to content, very happy with what we have but we still have alot of potential for sea of thieves

worst things are:
looking for a specific commendation in the menus
people who start attacking then start running
the world events are pretty slow to spawn, and if there is one that spawns it's usually a diving voyage one
doing a voyage/world event then out of nowhere a galleon is next to your ship and your sunk before you can blink

Little fast skilled kids who board your ship, even though you clearly don't want to fight and then spawnkill you until your ship sunk is the worst. And the French!
The best part of SoT is enjoying your time with your friends, meeting friendly pirates, beat Ai ships and such.
I kind-of hate battles with real people... They are always so dramatic..

But serious the Best thing is still being updated since launch...and the worst thing is having any player meets random player required events like the first summoning of the megalodon and w.e else they added like that forgot what it was but it was a update that required multiple ships to meet up n do something "coop like"

I agree with people saying the worst thing is the toxic people. But also people are the best thing also. To add to worst things I really hate how grindy some of the commidations are. Will I still try to get them, yes, but still I why can i barely get any messages in a bottle for fruit crate deliveries. It makes me upset sometimes how excited I get when I see them

i've not played sea of thieves in a long time and can't aim for shi- and to know people feel negatively towards me for just trying makes me no longer want to play.
