In the UK our food standards are far more strict than the US. So our foods have far far far less sugar, salt and fat than the US foods have (sometimes 1/4 of what the US has). For example Subway's bread is legally classed as "cake" in the UK and Republic of Ireland due to it's high sugar content

Best McDonald's I've ever eaten at was in Germany. They treat the restaurant quite seriously and are focused on service and quality.
