Ive played since december 2013... desginy was my escape. Ive met one of my best friends on a strike and basically grew up with this. Went from a freshman in high school to married with a job. When i got done with the final shape i just stopped and nearly teared up. This was / has been my escape a decade. This ending exceeded my expectations and it was beautiful.

the weight of this moment hits differently from how long you've played it. people who got into destiny in Destiny 1, and played it to the final shape are feeling nostalgia, and closure to a story ten years in the making, and moments we wanted to experience for years...

but people who joined in only the last few seasons, feel the ending is a bit shallow with how quickly/anticlimactic this DLC went from launching, and 5 days later we already beat the big bad.

I think this comment section sorta proved this feeling; it's a good ending for those who stuck through. but felt too abrupt and a bit forced on the newer player who suddenly got closure while they just got into it.

What I like about the ending is that it sets up to start a multi species civilization. Most other factions have lost their homes or never really had any so I expect they will set up shop in Sol.

I started playing when I was 8 years old on the demo of destiny and this game has been one hell of a ride I can’t beat the last mission so I just came to watch the cutscene here and this was a sad ending but one hell of a good one 😊
