Thank you for sharing this recipe, brings back old memories of when I was a kid and was surrounded by my Arabic side of the family lots of great food over a hot pit with all the intense spices and pita bread to soak up juices from the many different food, will be giving this a go.

What did she use for dry spices? And what did mince in the processor ? Was it onion and green chills with basil ? I thought Mediterranean cooking has parsley (not basil)
