hey you guys, love your videos! ( i know theyve been out there a while, i just discovered them). However there are two issues here: i think you missed that your schroedinger equation (diff. eq. of second order) can only have to linearly independent solutions, so the drawing for the semimetal at 1:42 is not possible, since you have 4 different k values for one energy were the bands overlap.
also i think you mixed up the energy conservation laws for the phonon processes (7:13). for phonon creation the phonon energy should be included on the rhs of the equation and for destruction on the lhs.
