Alien: Isolation Sequel Confirmed, Creative Director Returning - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix:
10 years after Alien: Isolation hit stores, developer Creative Assembly has announced a sequel. The original game's creative director is returning, but no other details were shared. In other news, Halo is undergoing a bit of a reset after developer 343 Industries underwent a name change and company shake-up. Future Halo games will be made with Unreal Engine 5, ditching the Slipspace Engine used for Halo Infinite. And Halo Studios (formerly 343), did confirm that multiple titles are in various stages of development. And finally, weirdos online have taken to Silent Hill 2's Wikipedia page to alter the game's positive reception. The IGN score was changed from an 8 to a 6, Eurogamer's was changed from a 5 out of 5 stars to a 0 out of 5, among others. Wikipedia has since locked the page to prevent anymore tampering, and the cause of the 'vandalism' isn't immediately clear, but the going theory is that it's trolls upset at some cosmetic changes despite the positive scores.

It’s only getting a sequel because of the performance of Romulus at the box office and the cult following the game has garnered. Unfortunately its sales were impacted pretty badly by a low-effort review from a major game review site. Hence the decade plus long wait.

A message to Creative Assembly team of directors,

There is a small indie studio which you may know of, Lunar Software, which is currently struggling to release a re-revealed game called Routine. The concept so far is one of, if not the best, concepts I've ever seen for a sci-fi horror, and not to mention the sound director - the man himself - Mick Gordon, is also on the team. If you want to GENEROUSLY capitalize on "Alien: Isolation 2", go immediately hold a serious conversation with them to collaborate on a potential joint-project to bring in or incorporate some of their brilliant ideas to your game. This will completely change the playing field for the new era of modern sci-fi horror in my opinion, and bring your new creation to life.
