One of my top 2 this season. I was afraid he would be a total douche the first couple episodes but he truly embodied a down to earth kid who just wanted to be SEEN. And in the end he willingly became a silent hero and was never acknowledged for it. He died saving a town of people who hated him bc they never bothered to know him. Which was the most heartbreaking moment of the season, imo. Right next to Brenner begging eleven to understand he wanted only to do good by her. A lie but also a confused, dying man's last wish. I was torn with her decision to not comfort him in the end. Especially when he showed his devotion when he wept after she told him her true feelings. Sad.
