No, he's a comedian! That's what comedians do is poke a little fun at topics sometimes in an effort to show how shallow and unreasonable society can be. It points out things that we think should be obvious but somehow are not. It's light hearted in a comedic way, . .it makes us THINK!

George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Burr, Bill Maher and even Don Rickles have at one time or another, employed such style.

I like what Dave says best—if you don’t like it, don’t watch it. I hope he gets an Emmy.

Dave’s awesome. It’s a joke when you learn to laugh at yourself you will be much happier, but you don’t want to be happy.

More important question… is he a comedian? He is… he is doing comedy… get over it.

My husband loves him… Never seen him so happy than when he watches his comedy.

He had a trans friend commit suicide due to the bullying and harassment after standing up for Dave. A trans woman pushed to suicide from the very community they were associated with. At this point there isn't a point to it, it's just warmongering and hate speech now. Dave is one if the most understanding humans on the planet, he isn't a bigot. He has spent most his life shattering racial barriers with comedy. The entire planet needs to stop, take a deep breathe and learn how to care. We need a world wide care campaign, don't hate, relate.

IF you think that special is transphobic, you probably haven't watched it. If you watched it and still think he's transphobic means you don't know how to think critically and don't recognize hypocrisy or irony.

Edit: I support Dave Chappelle. I was just making an observation. Smh the irony of all the comments is that most of them are doing what people did to Dave. Speaking without true understanding. I support him because he holds up a mirror and creates a different way to think about things. I'm not a comedian just an observer.

"Do better" is such a self righteous thing to say. What they mean to say is "Do what you're told, and do what I want you to do because my feelings matter."

Dave is incredible. Weather I agree or disagree with the man, he's the GOAT of comedy and always will be in my book.

O'Conner is still alive?? She'll say anything to try and remain relevant. She's not.

No, he isn’t transphobic, he’s a comedian. He doesn’t punch up, he doesn’t punch down. He punches lines. In other words he addresses life in a comedic manor, sometimes he points out the outlandish, sometimes he exaggerates things, sometimes he uses the shock factor. All of it is to get a laugh and draw attention to how crazy, ridiculous, and funny life is.

It’s not targeted towards trans, gays, or lesbians. He talks about race too. He makes fun of whites, Asians, blacks, etc.

He talks about what’s relevant. Trans rights have been in the news a lot so naturally he is gonna joke about it. The issue is some people think they are too good to be joked about. News flash… no body gives a shit. No body is special. Dave Chappelle isn’t racist against his own race, nor is he racist against his wife’s race, nor is he hateful towards his own religion. So why do people think just because he jokes about trans people, the same way he jokes about black people, Asians, and Muslims that he’s transphobic? To me it sounds like some people need to get off their high horse.

Also, if you think a JOKE is threatening to your existence and try to get the comedian cancelled for it, you need to rethink your life, because words don't kill, people do, learn that and remember it

He reminds me of the edgy comics that emerged from the 60s and 70s. I bet we’re going to go through that cycle again now.

I believe he's just standing up against indoctrination with standup comedy.

Dave Chappelle is just keeping it real. He might not give it on a silver platter but it's the truth.

People need to realize freedom of speech and stop acting like cry babies if someone hurt your feelings Sticks and stones did we forget the main rules words can never hurt you

Saying men can’t get pregnant is not violence or transphobic. It’s just fact.
