I am Cambodian but live in the US Boston MA. I would like to visit Cambodia to see where my parents grew up.
I hear there are alot of scammers… especially towards foreigners. When my parents visit, they are getting scammed as well. I guess westerners stick out like a sore thumb. LOL. My parents immigrated to the US in 1975. I was born in Boston and never been to Cambdia.

There is a reason I think, existence of Chinese mainland mafia. Specialty : online gaming, job scam, forced labour.

How I know? Many Malaysians were rescued. Some committed suicide as no where to run or abused by syndicates. Also at Myanmar border with Thailand. They went there to seek work during pandemic. Both of these places. Not all can be rescued unfortunately. Very sad
