Moving Day Vlog! Is It The Right Decision??

So, expecting a lot of negative comments on our last video, we were pleasantly surprised by the positive vibes. Most of you agree that since moving to this mansion, though good memories were made, things became more and more distant! Relationships with friends though sustained, visits became infrequent. Family visits became few and far between. The pets attitudes definitely changed and though at the time I would say indifferently, having moved to another house now the difference is stark. They seem much happier instantly in a small house again close to their people. The kids just enjoy the adventure either way! It will always be sad to look back at this house in all it's might and glory and say we lived there but there are much greater things in life than impressive assets. We moved almost to the extreme distance away you could from our community, upheaved everything in a pursuit for the better. Almost 3 years later and the negatives compounded. there were a great many positives but not everyone was happy. It's time to move on for our family and see what the next journey brings. Whilst we have found a property, delays in administration and sellers buying houses who are buying who are buying etc have thrown a spanner in the works, what we in the UK call a 'chain' so our move to the next property timeline is currently not guaranteed and unknown! A stressful time to say the least but luckily we found a property close by to minimise disruption to every day life in the interim. Doesn't circumvent the negatives encountered but brings you a big step forward.

Remember like it was yesterday the first day you showed this home. I will miss the goats, the road to the lake, Nathan learning to climb the stairs, Phil walking acrross the grass. Hope everything will be alright at your new home.

I will never forget those large lawns, that baby-tractor, Shane taking the kids for a ride on his motorbike, three cute goats, that slide covered in liquid soap, jumping on the trampoline and, of course, Phil's last days. I hope you enjoy your new home soon!💕

At that age, kids are very resilient. And yes, everything can be a new adventure. I think viewers just want to see your family (pets included) happy, and you know best what will be better for you.

What a smart decision. Of course, it's sad it's such a dream but if it's not working for your family, you have to do what's best for the family. How refreshing that so many are happier in a smaller space. I've always heard this from kids growing up in huge homes that they would seek out little spaces like elevators, barns, etc. that would become there safe spaces.

My dad was in the military and you can imagine we moved around A LOT. You never know where you're gonna land, but as long as you have family you will have solid footing. Don't think of it as leaving, think of it as moving toward something!

It's all about the journey. And children are very adaptable. This is a grand adventure for them. Much harder to move schools when they are vulnerable teenagers. Good luck! 🇨🇦

I don't blame you at all for wanting a change. That house is very beautiful, but MASSIVE, and maintenance for it was probably a full-time job. I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly for you and I can't wait to see the new house! I'm sure you, the kids, and the pets will be very happy there.
