WORLD CUP // DH Mountain Biking World Cup and Pan-Coaster, TELLURIDE, CO
Показать описание
TELLURIDE/MOUNTAIN VILLAGE, CO – Mountain Biking Mountain Village Bike Park / "Telluride" Bike Park // Mountain Biking World Cup and Pan-coaster. Unfortunately my brakes were so loud, I had to incorporate music overlay, something I never like to roll with that’s outside of the intro and outro. I attempted to reshoot these trails, however, the lower portions were closed due to a “pipeline” replacement.
Riders: Devin Kenney and Fabian Avitia
** On 9/16/2018 the final half of World Cup at the Yurt Drop was closed. You can ride to the final portion of Pancoaster from “USB”. This includes Gold Rush as well.
** 2018 The Bike Park remains Free until the new downhill trails open supposedly in June of 2019
World Cup, perhaps is one of the greatest downhill trails on the West Slope of Colorado, at least in my opinion. We’ll put it in the Top 5 just to leave a little wiggle room. This gem of a ride features technical variety: two road gaps, a multi line drop, a bike breaking rock garden, steep terrain, and finally a steep chute. If expanding your progression on technical trails is your thing, World Cup is a good one. The nature of the trail according to Daniel Goss, was meant to be incredibly challenging, but “easier” alternative lines with a black diamond flavor options are availible. This meaning you can bypass the road gaps, roll the “Yurt Drop”, and finally bypass “Catalina” at Gold Rush. Outside of the guts it takes to hit the Road Gaps or the “big line” on the Yurt drop, Catalina is going to be the most difficult slow speed technical feature. Brake into the top and then let it go and ride it out! Honestly, “Let it go and ride it out” is the best tip for hitting all the features.
I ride World Cup as a “Black Diamond” rider, and bypass the double black options to put some film out there before refueling the stoke at the Double Black Diamond Coffee Co. in Mountain Village.
Pancoaster: Mountain biking Pancoaster is a workout. Per Capita, Pancoaster rides chunkier than Gold Rush and World Cup. The crux lines on Pancoaster are not as difficult as Gold Rush and not even close to WC, so its kind of difficult to “Power scale” the difficulty between the two. After splitting from WC at the first Road Gap, Pancoaster remain off camber, tight, and janky to the finish. There are two medium natural drops, but the crux is a chunky snake of turns at the end. Long story short, what you see at the beginning of Pancoaster is what you get!
MTB Project: not availible
** The TF map for World Cup is actually Pancoaster and Gold Rush is actually World Cup. This means Gold Rush is not on the map.
