Nikita Kucherov Tantrum At The Bench After No Icing & Broken Stick

Not sure if the equipment manager didn't have a stick ready to give, or if it was about the no icing call, realistically probably was a bit of both.

Looks like Hedman was doing his best not to get to the puck and the ref wasn't buyin it.

for the non icing call, hedman is clearly able to touch it before reaching the line/board. great call.

*Hedman:* I'mma slow down so it crosses the line before I get there and they get called for icing.
*Ref:* nice try but no
*Lightning:* RIGGED!_

The linesman is on the ice the whole game, no rest except in between periods, and he still had the stamina to even beet Hedman to the puck, good judgement that Hedman could have got back before the puck crossed the line, !

People talking about the non-icing call as if that would've meant they would've won the game. smh did you see the absolute lack of any offensive pressure they had virtually all game, especially in the 3rd period? Wouldn't have made a difference, plus not calling the icing meant they maintained possession without the need for a draw so lightning fans need to grow up. Also Kuch seriously has some ego problems.

Colorado dominated that whole 3rd period Tampa couldn't handle the pressure the Avs were putting on them, even for a team like Tampa it's hard to hold them off with that much skill constantly pushing the tempo against you. Both teams have the ability to do that to eqchother. Colorado was just hungrier to not lose another opportunity to close out the series. Sure injuries and fatigue affected the Lightning but Colorado took advantage of that by not letting up right until the end. One of the better finals we've seen in awhile.

I used to ref college D3 hockey. I used to tell the young players that if a 40 year old guy can beat them to the puck it wasn't going to be icing. Those guys were all half my age. It made them know that I wasn't giving any "soft" icing calls. If you notice the linesman wasn't' even trying that hard and was still right on top of that puck. Good call IMO.

Tampa did this shit all playoffs and got away with it, they never skate for icings and it finally bit them in the ass, love to see it

Hedman was kinda dogging it so I had no problem with them waving it off, though I've seen that called icing many times this season.

Sure, if the icing had been called theoretically that could've resulted in a Tampa goal. But odds are extremely low with 20 seconds left. Plus if you want to talk about missed calls, Avs should've gotten a 5 on 3 power play for Stammer shooting the puck at an official and Maroon attempting to injure a player with a two-hand stick-breaking slash aimed at a an Avs player's achilles during that game, and that could've meant an Avs goal. You can what-if all you want, calls will be borderline in the game of hockey and that's just how it is. If you want to win, you have to play well, and the Avs clearly outplayed Tampa virtually all of game 6 (I'm a Wings fan and don't even like the Avs, so this is not biased lol). Blaming the officials for Tampa's loss is bullshit. Tampa had 60 minutes to win, and they didn't put it together so don't act like it's the ref's fault your team was beaten.

The fans in Tampa Bay acted like they won the Stanley Cup last game, . Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Their final was last round."

Maroon cheap shots after a goal. Kucherov throwing his gloves at the trainer. Someone checks the linesman for not making the icing call.
Keep it classy Florida😁

It’s no icing according to Rule 81.5 “If, in the opinion of the Linesman, any player (other than the goalkeeper) of the opposing team is able to play the puck before it passes his goal line, but has not done so, play shall continue and the icing violation shall not be called. This includes the situation whereby the opposing team, while in the process of making player substitutions during the play, are able to play the puck, but choose not to do so to avoid being called for too many men on the ice. Icing should not be called.”

Hedman was definitely dogging it, that was the right call. I was so going for the Av’s to win the cup, to take that smug look off Kucherov’s face.

If the Lightning don't have several fines/suspensions coming out of this game, I would not want to be a referee in the NHL. In this video, you can see a TB player jump off the bench and intentionally run into the linesman 0:28 top of the screen. Magoon's slash after the goal and then Stamkos shooting the puck at the referee. Despicable. Bunch of crybabies throwing tantrums and physically assaulting the referees cuz they're not winning. Sad, pathetic, and punishable.

Y'all complaining about the no icing call but don't realize Tampa was soft running the puck on multiple occasions and got the call earlier in the game. The linesman had enough. Minus the fact he caught up to the puck himself lol. Next time keep the temp low so you don't have slush out there 😂

people think the rule is that you only have to get to the hash marks after the puck crosses the goal line. that's not what the rule says. the defender has to make a serious effort to get there. if the defender decides to lollygag and the linesman sees him do it, icing is waved. that's not a new thing.

Proves to me (along with the Vasy rage clip from the hallway) that the Avs deserved to win a hell of a lot more.

Tampa was literally acting like a rich spoiled kid the entire series. Just throwing tantrums when it doesn't go there way
