BDA Visits George Washington's Mount Vernon

While in the Washington DC area we stayed at the campground within Fort Belvoir (Thanks Aunt KK!) Lucky for us it’s just a few miles from George Washington’s Mount Vernon. In fact, we rode our Rad Power Bikes over to check it out prior to our official visit.

The Nens Twins really enjoyed our time there and the only time we needed to have a more watchful eye was during the house tour itself. Otherwise, the grounds were perfect for 5 year olds with lots of open spaces and even 🐏 to pet!

Visiting historical places during our travels have been beneficial for our entire family, but especially for BRIGHTon and DAISy. Field trips for typical public schools is generally local. Home Schooling gives us the opportunity to really expand our horizons!
