This lesson is so amazing because not only is the actual melody Corey plays quite simple, but it has SWING. So many blues players just hit the licks and play them without FEEL. Sure you can play the notes, but you gotta have SWING. Close your eyes, forget about the lick and how to play it, and just LISTEN. Put that into your playing, and you'll be a huge step above. And of course, Corey certain IS!

I've stated this before so if it sounds like old bad because I feel this every time I watch one of Corey's new lessons! Two things: 1. Corey always makes us feel like he's just uncovering a new technique or blue note tone or concept on the guitar fretboard as he's explaining his great lessons but more importantly 2. Corey makes me want to expand or extend my own experimental playing on my own and keep asking myself "what if". What if I try another note in a scale or play a variance on the chord progression or play a different mode keeps us all thinking and (hopefully) improving! Happy New Year again, buddy!! Jim C.
