10 Bohemian Rhapsody Deleted Scenes That Could Have Made The Movie Better

Queen is one of the most legendary bands in the history of rock and roll. ‘We Will Rock You,’ ‘We Are the Champions,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ - even if you wouldn’t call yourself a Queen fan, you know exactly what these songs are. They’ve become ingrained in our lives. It was only a matter of time before someone decided to tell the story of this amazing band. Bohemian Rhapsody finally gives fans what they want and, thanks to an incredible performance by Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, it’s a big box office hit.

Like any film, Bohemian Rhapsody left its fair share on the cutting room floor. Some great moments from the band’s history didn’t even make it past the screenwriting process. For instance, there’s no indication that Freddie Mercury had been a lover of music from a very young age. Not only that, by the age of seven he was taking piano lessons and by age twelve had even formed a band with his classmates. Queen’s legendary Live Aid performance does indeed make an appearance in Bohemian Rhapsody, but with the caveat of one song being cut out. Even little moments such as Mercury creating the Queen Crest or how he came up with one of the band’s best tunes ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love,’ ended up on the cutting room floor.

Bohemian Rhapsody may still be a good film, but we feel by including a couple of these deleted scenes, it could have been even better. Let’s explore some of the moments cut out from Bohemian Rhapsody and determine which ones should have stayed.

The full Live Aid was put in extras on the dvd.

The live aid cut down wasn’t not a big deal at all. Where it ended was just fine and it still managed to have an emotional punch

It's a movie, not a documentary about the band. Take that in mind.

These are not deleted scenes. They're just sections of their story you would've like to be included in the movie.

I certainly think Deaky deserved a whole lot more screen time.

Pushing for an R rating? Why does the industry think we want sex scenes in our entertainment? I certainly don't.

I - as a "general member of the public" - found this movie totally enthralling. I think that @Rami Malek did an outstanding performance from start to finish and that the late "Freddie Mercury" would thoroughly endorse his depiction.

It was the best performance of all time, no one now days even comes close to the way Freddie got the audience IE Wembley stadium full, thousands of fans dancing with queen, clapping and singing in sync, I don't think that one person can say that they never liked at least one of the songs they wrote, some of the words are pure poetry and so true, to say it was 20 years ago and they are still number one, RIP you beautiful person, x

There was a point in the film where you see the Queen crest in Freddie's notebook so that wasn't not in the movie

Saw it last weekend. I was apprehensive at first because I thought that Remi Malak looked too much like Mick Jagger. But came away from the movie loving Queen more than I did before.. it rocks.

I’m aware of the historical inaccuracies, but all the creative choices made resulted in a great movie. I’ve seen it 3 times, bringing friends and family with me.

I honestly think the ending should have been the day Freddie recorded Show Must Go On in one take. It could have had a better impact on the tragic tone the movie turned into but it was amazing anyway
