I can very much imagine Spurs getting Van de Ven AND Tapsoba because Van de Ven is also very comfortable playing as a LB. Van de Ven would then take the squad place from Davies (who simply has to be sold) and Tapsoba will be the starter at CB alongside Romero.

Getting both in would also open up the possibility to emulate Guardiola at City where Romero takes on the role of Stones and pushes into midfield in possession while Tapsoba and Van de Ven take on more central roles just like Dias and Ake.

Anyway as a Tottenham supporter from Germany I can assure you that VDV would be a great addition for Tottenham. He's great in almost every aspect and has room to develop. He'd be a big upgrade on Dier, Davies and Sanchez.

Just an FYI for people who do not know all the protocols of football transfer windows.... showing a player who has not signed and deal done (as done here with Tottenham Jersey) could raise false hope. This says five days ago....I don't think MVDV has signed as yet. Am I wrong? Thanks
