Nizamuddin ..a sufi saint was sad because of death of his family member he had stopped smiling.... one day he saw hindu women celebrating holi on the banks of yamuna river dressed in yellow, dancing and playing holi with mustard flowers and offering it to kalia goddess ...it was so beautiful sight that nizamuddin jee started to smile and he asked the women about the festival....he also got dressed in yellow and pinned a flower onto his hairs took a dhol and started singing and dancing from that time muslims also celebrate holi like festival in the northern part of india and lahore region of pakistan....sakal ban song refers to this very festival
