10 Cheapest Places to Live in Florida 2024.

Whether you’re planning to relocate with your family or thinking about where to settle for retirement, many people set their sights on moving to Florida. Florida attracts many people to live and retire with its generally impressive climate, great beaches, fun entertainment and, most importantly, its lower cost of living.

Florida is a massive state, and many people flock to towns like Orlando or Boca Raton when moving there. These cities can be expensive. However, there are plenty of affordable places to live in Florida that offer the safety and amenities of a more expensive location.

To determine where the cheapest places left to live still are, we sourced data from Zillow, Sperling’s Best Places and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Single-family home value, condo/co-op value and rental home cost were all factors scored, combined and sorted to show the cheapest Florida cities first. Other factors used to create a ranking of the cheapest places to live left in Florida included annual costs for groceries, healthcare, utilities, transportation and miscellaneous expenses for a total monthly cost.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

Seems like the panhandle was overlooked. Some nice affordable towns near the Capitol. In central FL Ocala and Dunnellon are far more affordable than Gainesville and just as much fun.

I grew up in Miami & it's got everything I need BUT it's unaffordable 😢 a 1-1 goes for $2, 000. So we the retired residents can't enjoy what we worked so hard for do to rich wanting to get richer😢

I love Lakeland, Florida but we’re currently being overtaken by Orlando & Tampa high income equity firms and billionaire investors are also pushing us out of our communities!!!!

If its north of I-4 in central Florida its COLD THERE IN WINTER!! Yes we do use HEAT IN Florida!! The farther you go south- the higher the price to live there(not work there!!) Ocala is the hottest place in Summer and Coldest in the Winter. If you live more than 30 miles from the water- its hot there!! South of Tampa- south Hurricanes!! Along the water-flooding! In your house!!
Sinkholes- a pit in the ground, 10' wide to 200' wide!! It happens!! A whole house fell in the ground, never found it or the owner either!!
The cost to live here is as much or more than anywhere else in the USA!!

Jacksonville FL is one of the most expensive places on rents in FL has a very high homeless rate because of rent cost and the highest eviction rates in the states due to outstanding rents I know I live here 2024

Melbourne is no where near the Atlantic...it is not even a main island. The video you are showing for Melborne is the Sebastian Inlet 😮

Fort Meade, Frostproof, Wachula, Ocheechobee & Lake Wales are definitely cheap because there's no good paying jobs in the middle of no where!!!

Melborne, Port St lucie. Other towns so hard to drive to the ocean. If you do not love the ocean why live in Florida?
