Finding out I’m pregnant : First ultrasound appointments and the first 11 weeks of pregnancy. Getting after miscarriage was definitely scary when I first saw the positive pregnancy test, but the pregnancy has really set in for us now and we’re feeling so optimistic and excited to be having a baby!

It is OKAY to acknowledge the unpleasant symptoms! We need to normalize being able to complain about the downsides of pregnancy and not feel like we should “just be happy/grateful you can be pregnant”...which CAN be simultaneous to the complaining haha. Like do I have to be thankful for throwing up, peeing, and having a nosebleed all at once? NO lol 😆

I think it's wrong that they won't show the screen even when you're miscarrying. If people don't want to see it, I completely understand. I had to beg for ultrasound photos of my twins who suddenly stopped growing. The lady ended up feeling so bad that she made a cd full of all the images. I admit, I've never looked at the full cd, but I do look at the printed photos from time to time. They were still my babies. For me, it was necessary, to be able to grieve with some kind of physical evidence that life did exist and life was lost. Everybody is different of course!
