For this series I’ll be taking you with me through NYC & New Jersey to various Music Stores. Sifting through CD’s, vinyl, and whatever else the stores have to offer. Then at the end I’ll un-bag the loot and discuss why I chose the ones I did. Come on…let’s go to the record store!

4:42 Back in the old days (the 1970s) a friend of mine saw in a record store a promotional INFLATABLE OCTOPUS from this album !! He begged and begged them to sell it to him and just kept nagging ... well one day he finally got it and that sent him on his way - to collecting promotional rock items . He has a giant inflatable pencil that says "Alice Cooper - School's Out" and also the original Led Zeppelin "the object" . he also has the Led Zeppelin inflatable BLIMP !!

Ladies & Gentlemen - the Holy Grail of music shops has been found. This place has to rank as number 1 to date, for the sheer quantity of boxsets and releases in the rock genre. The owner of this place deserves recognition. The physical format is alive and well. Thanks for the video Brendon!

Princeton NJ Record Exchange is another one to consider. They STILL haven't released an updated Rossington Collins Band CD?! I used to
go to them as my one source to get imports that otherwise you couldn't find anywhere else.

Great find! I was only aware of the Sound Exchange store in Somerville, which as I mentioned when you did an episode there, did some speaker work for me. This Wayne store looks packed. I could get lost for hours in there. I'll have to check it out some time. It's about 25 miles from me.

Thanks for taking my suggestion bro. I knew you'd love it. Don't forget to look underneath as well. Theres cds stacked on the floor as well. And the used cds buy 3 get 2 free, they always make sure the cds a good quality. If one looks bad, and they have it new, they will give you the new cd at the used price.

Was there a week before to buy myself Waterloo Sunset from Record Store Day for my birthday. The proprietor was a nice knowledgeable guy who put up with this old guy prattling on.. Been there several times over the years and always get what I want. When I told my wife I was going she remembered the bakery in the mall, it's really good. So 2 for 1.
