I bought a pack of 100 safety razor blades in 2019 that I'm still working through. I much prefer the feel of a safety razor shave over a multi blade razor.

Love this topic. I got into safety razors maybe six months ago. There is a learning curve to them, but I think they are vastly superior to multi-blade razors. You need to get the angle right and take your time. I cut myself at first but now I rarely get cuts and get a closer shave. There are also many different safety razors with different levels of aggressiveness. I haven't used the plow but there are other amazing safety razors where you can adjust the blade gap (aggressiveness).

I have tried these type of old school razors twice. I nicked myself way more with them. I had to take much more time and care to avoid nicks and cuts. I have gone back to cartridge razors. Though, it's worth mentioning I don't shave my face and only shave my head 1-2 times per week.

I haven’t found a more expensive blade to be much better. I end up using disposables most of the time 😅

I love safety razors. I use a 1940s gilette razor that has some knurling on it which is funny af. Definetely require some technique and figuring out which blades work best for you and the right soap to use and your set for life. I hate the price of cartridges which keeps me away from them, but I do use them for the body as I dont trust a safety razor anywhere near down there. Good review as always!

I personally switched from multiblade to a safety razor for shaving my head. Multiblade gave to much irritation. I haven't had issues with cutting myself. Two thing to look out for is that there more and less aggressive versions of safety razors. This make a big difference. Together with that there are also different blade some sharper some less sharp. Sharper is not always better. I use a less sharp derby blade. My safety razors are a gilete and a mulhe both closed combe.
For me its what works best and gives the best clossest shave possible.
It wasn't a cost consideration because if you really get into everything traditional shaving you end up spending more then you want to admit 😂.
