I can confirm that bit about playing sports at ~15:50. It's just a bit of a let-down when you think about it afterwards. You put all this hard work into playing well, then you relax all that effort, and things just happen, (you score or steal)... and you wonder if you can properly take credit for it. It's like having a coin with both a heads and a tails side.
Very interesting info about keeping things light while trying to bend spoons. I always try to 'concentrate' the thing to-death. Of-course, I fail every time.
Even more-interesting is that when you start to study the effects, the 'causes' change.
I would like to have seen a demonstration.

11:03 if plastic spoons can be bent into spirals, what about wood, carbon and stone utensils? Unbending is even greater proof, heating may not be the catalyst. The matrix still makes sense: "there is no spoon" that's why _impossible_ distortions combine perfectly with good humor - it allows to inject odd lines into the source code ;)

I don't know why, but for some reason it occurred to me that perhaps the mechanism of PK has something to do with neutrinos. I don't have a background in physics so I don't know how plausible that is. I noticed that Martin Caidin had thyroid cancer & that Helané Wahbeh reported bending rebar that was placed on her neck, which is where the thyroid is located. The thyroid gland contains a lot of iodine, so I googled iodine and neutrinos & found that there is a neutrino detector that is somehow based on iodine. I thought perhaps MC may have been at increased risk for thyroid cancer due to smoking (to confirm - was it he who was the cigar smoker?), but Google says smokers actually have a 36% risk _reduction_ in thyroid cancer. Stress could be factor, as it is in many cancer types, & I note that MC's Wikipedia biography states that he confronted Nazis, etc. on his talk show - stressful, albeit necessary, work. Still, for myself I think I will limit attempts at PK since I've already had a thyroglossal duct cyst.

Its curious, with the premise of the factuality of esp, how fascinating and horrifing it is for us all. This ambivalence towards this reality seems unbetable for us humans, specially becouse we thing of the implications, even if unconsciously, of what this means to your western individualistic minds. I mean in the west the problem is twofold: either is points to a broder unknown were monsters and demons live (cristian sensitivity) or it means the fear of losing control over a materialistic, deterministic world were our iluministic modern conception of individuality is under thread becouse of possible psychic influence over our subjectivity. In both cases it is an paranoid inducing reality, this broad esp reality.

The idea of PK and extravagant apparitions is so beyond my boggle threshold... I find myself constantly wondering if Loyd is a fraud or a liar.

Everything he describes is so extraordinary and evidential, and yet there is never anything captured on video, for example. If those PK parties were so successful, would it not be well known? Would it not be more widely accepted? Where is the hacksaw blade? Can we see the aluminium rod?

This is not an attempt to attack or discredit: it's what goes through my head as I listen. Frankly, I don't know what to make of all this. I've seen the evidence for remote viewing, for instance, and it is rather convincing. But then, why is it not accepted and integrated?

This is worldview-shattering...

There is a reality in all of this. We only use a small part of the brain so what is the rest of it for?
That quote Loyd made" If you think about what you're doing, it's probably going to stop."
I heard this said many years ago but I can't remember where.
They said, "Sometimes when you stop concentrating that is when it will happen".

Interesting stories, but always seem to be little sketchy. Still waiting for the James Randi one million dollar PSI challenge to be awarded. Why hasn't Mr. Auerbach given it a try? If what he says is true, he could probably win and greatly advance the public's acceptance of PK.
