i know i will never visit virginia but by just seeing this documentary, i was crying he was a visionary back then, he had written fair fax resolution, his discomfort about slavery, hope some day i will visit virgina, sad i won't but love you washington you are my inspiration

I visited Mount Vernon when I was in the sixth grade going on school field trip back in 1979. It's a nice historical place.

I first went there as a kid in the 1960's and it was sort of run-down and weedy. I prefer that version than this slick one. I remember standing in front of his casket and feeling like I was time travelling. Then we went to Arlington and stood in front of the eternal flame at JFK's grave. That too was very moving. I just could not fathom that he was buried just feet away from me and feeling the loss of one man was so enormous to the nation.

My parents brought my sister and I to Mount Vernon, from Connecticut in the 1970's. This video brought back fond memories of the visit and tresured time with my parents. Thank you!

I visited in the summer of 2019, to this day i have fond memories of this place . Something so mesmerizing and magical you feel like having stepped back into centuries . Totally worth multiple visits .
