TOP 5 BAITS FOR JULY BASS FISHING!

Показать описание
These are the baits we trust when July temperatures start to soar! The hotter it gets, the more predictable the bass are, creating an amazing opportunity for you as an angler. If you know which baits to use and where to fish, July bass fishing can be amazing! It doesn't matter where you are in the country, its time to get on the water and experience the peak of Summer bass fishing!

As water temperatures rise, bass rely heavily on overhead cover to shield them from the sun. It doesn't matter if you're on a small creek, a giant reservoir, or a weed-clogged lake, the need for shade makes bass very easy to catch. Without any effort at all you can predict where they will sit and with a few key baits, catching them becomes very easy. Forget beating the heat this July, its time to embrace the heat and use it to your advantage!

Below you'll find links to the exact baits Matt discussed in the video. We've included details on sizes, colors, and any modifications he uses to fish each bait. We've also included links to some great budget-friendly rod and reel combos that will help you fish these techniques effectively. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

A natural blue zoom swamp crawler back in the 90s was a deadly bait. We'd catch a 100 bass in 4 hours on points in the hot summer. Now you're lucky to catch 1 or 2 on the same lakes.

I went out this morning from about 5:30-noon. Threw all kinds of baits all morning with no bites. Switched to a shaky head with a Zoom magnum shaky head worm in junebug and caught 3 in less than an hour… Can confirm, it’s the JUICE. 👊🏼

Thanks Matt! It's amazing how seamlessly you roll from one technique to the other, while speaking to anglers in every area of the country along the way. I'm in Florida, so some of what you say does not apply, but you and Tim do a great job of making sure that everyone in your audience feels a part of things. I really appreciate you sharing your expertise with us; I cannot imagine how much time you put into building such a prodigious knowledge base. Keep up the great work; 500, 000 subscribers is fast approaching. Thanks!

I’ve gained so much from this channel, it’s made me a better fisherman. One of the best take aways was the red treble hook. I love to crank. And that single change has gotten me many more bites. Speed cranking is another tip that has changed my fishing.

Monthly videos for baits on this channel is why I still watch YouTube!

wacky rig, frog, arkie head jig, squarebill, and a neko are always tied on in summer...a shallow water guy for sure...chasing those shadow beasts

I can never get the confidence in a shaky head. The worm to hook size just makes me feel like I’m missing so many fish that don’t swallow the whole worm. I’m way up in Connecticut too, crank baits are my favorite way to catch them but I’m extremely limited on where I could fish it, since it’s all grass. But Love the content !

You always do a good job on your channel, but that was one of your better overviews of the peak summer period 👍🏻 Up here in Northern Wisconsin, our waters are either full of grass or they’re crystal clear and 50-80ft deep… so the tips on clarity can really be helpful. The fish are so active right now up here that they can be caught from the bank out into the middle of the lake and on any bait in your boat 😎

hey Matt, so funny you mention the swamp crawler. I used to use that one and the magnum for yrs. Not sure why i stopped other than trying newer baits. lol. I need to go back to it again. thanks!!

Thanks Matt, very well done video. Clear, concise and to the point. Narrowing down those 3 types of cover will really streamline the process. Just read an article about you on Bullards (I’m in Chico) from 2015. Very impressive! I’ve never fished it but always wanted to.
