Howdy from Dallas, Texas. I am Ray, the owner of Hike-ALOT and also co-owner of the Texas Survival School. I am a certified hiking guide with the American Hiking Guide Association & Northeast Mountain Guides, wilderness survival instructor with Texas Survival School, Red Cross instructor for Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid, plus Stop The Bleed instructor with up to date credentials in Leave No Trace, Swift Water Awareness, Outdoor Ethics / Stewardship, and am a certified Bear Safety Resource.

The Hike-ALOT school itself was born as an avenue to give students from the wilderness survival school and my frequent day hiking companions, make the jump from day hiking to overnight backpacking. The name itself is a reference to where our students come from - Arkansas(A), Louisiana(L), Oklahoma(O), and Texas(T). That is why it is “ALOT” instead of “a lot”.
