Gotta love how people are ripping on Mary when Lola always did nothing but never support or ever think of Mary before doing shit. You forget that fact that Lola slept with the love of Mary’s life whom she was protecting and Lola knew that Mary was still deeply in love with him and not marrying him to save his life. I don’t think this man here deserved anything but Mary was always doing everything she could to save the lives of the people she’s loves and cares about. All Lola ever did was stab Mary in the back and blame her for everything bad that happened to her. Mary loved Francis and always will. She stopped at nothing to ensure he didn’t die and even then he still did in the end and she suffered greatly because of it.

He may not have been the best character but he lost his son cuz Mary wanted to be Stubborn and a 'good queen' costing even more lives than the one his son was asking for and rightly upset over her purposely infecting him with Plague and later giving her hell for it. Now he's not only lost his son, but later the new love of his life, again, cuz of Mary (though the letter was forged, her loyalty to her got her killed) and Lola lost her future (Francis inisting she stay at court and publicaly annouce his bastard) and later life staying by her. Who DIDN'T suffer staying by her?
