Hey Mic, great metal work and welding job! Can't wait to see next episode 😉
Please don't lower the bus!!! I think you can't be sure finding always plain roads. One little bump or gravel roads and -maybe- parts of undercarriage could come in contact with stones or other surface... Please think about that!
All the best from Vienna/Austria

Mic,
Glad to see your well again. Those guys do real nice work and its great they let you show how its done. I like that you are recycling/relocating some of the old metal for patch pieces. Still a way to go.
Peace

I’ve been following this build from the start and have to give you much respect for going all in! You seem to be soaking up the metal work well and your detailed vids are oasis’s in this tube desert!

It is amazing how the VW split’y bus restoration industry now has so many parts
and patch panels of high quality on offer.... 1958, 1963 PU, 1964 21 slide roof ... ++

What impresses me the most is the variety of tools you lads have. They make the job a lot easier.

I'm in awe of the patience that these metal workers have to get everything right - no cut corners or shortcuts. Kudos!!

So in depth. For sure this brings one more vw van back into the car world but would have it been cheaper to buy one already done up? This is what "counting cars" should be doing. Showing the real work that talented craftsmen do.

One thing I learned years ago (I had a '66 POS Beetle in the '80s) is when people tell me "You can't do that!" I say " No. You mean YOU can't do that! Watch me!" I describe myself as a Hotrodder with two Mechanical Engineering degrees. Can't find a part? Make one! I weld, I paint, I do bodywork. I know my way around a Machine Shop. And BTW you and the guys working on Kona are kicking ass!

🤙🤟🏼😎 I am happiest on the days your Kona build videos appear. I think I actually caught Silverio crack a small smile a couple of times in this one. So awesome to see his masters touch as always. Sending you good vibes, stay healthy Mic.
