2 x 2 lattice stitch: a Knittycat's Knits tutorial

(Note: this is a traditional pattern and not my own design)

Materials: regular knitting needles (size needed for your project), cbn (close to size of knitting needles), yarn of your choice for project

Abbreviations: cbn=cable needle; K=knit; P=purl; sl2CB=slip 2 sts and hold them to back of work; sl2CF=slip 2 sts and hold them to front of work; st= stitch.

PATTERN: 2 x 2 LATTICE STITCH
Cast on a multiple of 4 sts with regular knitting needles
Row 1: K all sts.
Row 2 and 4: P all sts.
Row 3: K2, *sl2cb, K2, K 2 sts from cbn. Repeat from * until last 2 sts, then K2.
Row 5: *sl2CF, K2, then K 2 sts from cbn. Repeat from * to end.
Repeat Rows 2-5 for pattern.
