If it was me that balloon wouldn’t have made it past Canada, and I would have put severe pressure on Canada to shoot it down first or clearance to intercept it in Canadian airspace. Shoot it down in the tundra if that’s the path it actually came from and inspect the rubble instead of over the ocean.

If there was even the slightest infringement of Chinese air space, regardless of potential threat, they would respond as we did. Only they wouldn't waste time in eradicating a perceived threat like FJB did.

And could at 85 k feet have taken
Most of the U.S. Power Grid.
