Celtics are just built perfectly. Top 8 are elite shooters and average to elite defenders. Everybody is a 3 and D player. Even Pritchard holds his own. It’s very difficult to believe a team is going to win in a 7 game series.

Hauser was an undrafted FA. Pritchard was basically kicked out of our rotation 2 years ago when Brogdon won 6MOTY. Queta, kicked out of SAC (fans liked him tho). Kornet kicked out of NY and Chicago. Walsh and Davison and even Springer who all are nba ready aren’t getting minutes in our rotation because we have so many quality guys. Tillman was shipped for nothing to us.

The whole identity of our bench these past couple years was “Next Man Up”/ “Stay Ready” group if someone goes down or they get a bump in minutes. DWhite, Pritchard, Kornet, Queta, Hauser have all tremendously improved since arriving in Boston.

the role players look so good on a team like Boston because

1. the superstars make them better

2. they have limited responsibility & can focus on specializing their games— that specialization may not fit on other teams

3. they are legitimately good players & the Celtics have great scouting & coaching.

There are matches in superstar power (Suns) as a superteam foil, but the Celtics aren't good because they have a lot of superstars, they have great role players. Guys like White, Holiday, Pritchard, Horford are just really really really good complementary pieces to their 1 top 10 player and 1 top 20 player.

Edit: I will say this. I have noticed since KP came back, his.vertical is definitely diminished. Maybe he's still getting back in shape, but I'm a little concerned

Sending Horford away was a 5 D chess plan carried over from Ainge to Stevens to allow Al to get paid when Boston couldn’t afford to.
