I was the owner of this card in video. Had it graded around 2012. Would love to talk to Geoff about other vintage auto cards, what vintage he now is on the hunt for, what vintage card "got away, " etc... Couldn't believe it was on video as I was looking at my phone yesterday! It's a celebrity card now lol

Geoff I think you got a special card! I’m not an investor, I’m a collector 100%! I truly hope that you respect the history of baseball, as well as Joe D. You are very lucky to be able to afford this card, enjoy it!

love how the dealer said his bottom was 22500 then you said 22 and without thinking he agreed

I think we all owe Marshall Fogel a great debt of gratitude for pulling Geoff out of his ultra modern phase 😂😂

I always love your innovative videos and also that you help collectors who want to learn how to invest in such a vast industry that used to be known as nothing more than a hobby. Thank you so much and have fun at the National.

Congrats and that beauty of a 41 Play Ball Joe D! One of the true, timeless classics, that card just screams “baseball card” and “vintage baseball card”. Love it when you feature and provide some focus on Vintage. Congrats on your pickups.

Glad you're making it known about the rarity of signed vintage cards! Thanks for shedding light on these vintage autos on your channel. I still think it's an underrated market and I've been trying to educate about the true, organic rarity of a lot of these cards.

I spent $11 on EBAY free shipping. I wish someone would buy $22k in $1 autos and flip them for $44k. Also you got Rick to say "I would get it out of the Beckett holder" on camera.

That Griffey Pristine 10 Auto 10 Rookie was wild.

I agree and have been collecting rookie autos of all the greats I can find - more of what I personally like to collect. More valuable to me - don;t know why more collectors don't see it that way

That guy Joe had a PSA 8 Julius Erving ‘72 Topps RC. It was a strong 8, so I asked him “how much?” He told me it was “$6, 500”. (Mind you, an Erving PSA 8 is around $2, 300 or so). He then proceeded to tell me it was “really a psa 9, look closer” Well, I looked again, and guess what; it was still a PSA 8… I had to just walk away because I was about to hysterically LMAO!! 😂

What a Now this is a REAL investment card. Nevermind all of this new modern stuff that has a thousand 1/1's

Congrats on the card. I walked by your booth and the kids were amazing. Smart idea 😊

Tea pot (I think) is right on the money about the lack of appreciation for vintage cards. Someone can pay 30k for a hyped up rookie no problem but will think hard about dropping that kind of money on a vintage card. That’s wild to me.

Stop, currently I love that the rookie autos are cheaper then the 10's. Im collecting all my fav auto rcs. I agree should be a lot more valuable. But for now, I love it!!!

Smart. I’m a big fan of rare + rare. Great to see higher grade on-rookie card autographs of players no longer with us. The market will continue to move upward on these.

My opinion on the vintage card on card autos depends on where they put the auto. Sometimes its overkill or it ruins the look of the card.
