Here we go, fellow turkey hunters! We're rolling into April, one of our favorite months out of the year! With a lot going on - turkey seasons opens up in either all or portions of South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee this weekend. It's already open in some states . Archery is getting ready to open in Kansas and Nebraska - so i want to talk about turkey hunting! Here are some tips on where to setup this weekend based on weather and other factors. Check out this video where Dr. Woods shares his best strategy for hunting turkeys when it's raining! It's forecast to rain a lot this weekend over a large swath of the turkeys range.

Birds seems kinda scarce here in Kentucky. Used to get lots of birds and poult activity in the summer. Last couple of years numbers seem way down. I got no poults on trail cam last year which is unusual. Some places seem to have birds you can see strutting from the highways, just not where my 5 trail cameras are at. May have to change my geography. Hunting buddy saying the same thing in his county. Numbers down.
