I missed the part where you actually rolled back to a previous version. Do I connect my RC Pro controller to the computer or do I need to download the file onto a SD card then insert the card into my controller? I thought you were gonna actually walk us through how to do it but you were talking about other things.

Nice vids and testing Gav, which tablet would you recommend for a Mavic Mini that you have tried yourself (Getting a bit tired watching loads of videos again - this is what put me off getting one of these years ago - all the issues with apps crashing etc).

Hi Gavin. A couple of days ago I bought the DJI MAVIC AIR 2S Drone. DJI does a poor job in trying to help to download the DJI FLY. Your video is from Aug. 2021. Has there been an up dated APP since ? What's the best firmware version that is simple to download ? Thank you.

Thanks Gavin, I've noticed lately that there is a lot of jerky movements when yawing (not my dodgy thumb this time), could this be because of the update and if I roll it back will it then affect the auto discharge?

Cheers Gavin. Went to the museum and downloaded a pretty old version. Give me zero hassle any day over the latest release. Will do a short test tonight ahead of the weekend flying....weather dependent. Went for 1.1.6 I think. Thanks for looking after us.

I guess with more drones to support on the single app, the testing department at dji are overwhelmed, or cutting corners, especially with the bug fixes uncovering more issues. I often wait to update app versions, see others experiences too, so thanks for the updates 👏

Thank you so much man you saved our channel we really love drone footage but we couldn't download the new version on our old phone so we were looking everywhere for the old version but couldn't find it thanks so much it's working now.

Excellent information, and you are to be commended for the time and effort this must have taken Gavin...Topman! Unfortunately i am on ISO, and contacted DJI with regards the issues i have been having with the mini 2 since the last update. All they suggested was that i reinstall the Fly App. Needless to say i still am having difficulty locking on to the subject in Quick shots, loss of signal (Intermittent) even within 150-250yds in rural/coastal areas, Gimbal jerky at times and still the overheating and dark screen problem with my iPhone. None of these problems occurred at ALL until that last update, with a Mini 2 that has never crashed and has flown 4hrs 23 mins. I was considering moving up to the Air2S since prices have fallen a little. But decided not to do so because i honestly believe that one single Fly App for several different Controllers, various different Phones, and so many different DJI models is where most of the common issues lie, with the possible exception of the overheating and dark screen on I phones, where it could be a joint problem with DJI and Apple. I Believe DJI have just released a new update for the Air2s that has now apparently as solved ALL it's issues and transformed it in to the Drone it should have always been. Well maybe they should now do the same with the Mini series, given i suspect that certainly here in the UK the under 250g drone will be their biggest emerging market along with more competition appearing recently. I have all but given up flying my Mini 2, due to losing confidence in it, and it has now become so frustrating and disappointing and no longer enjoyable or the fun it was, and it seems that for all DJI may be one of the better Drone manufactures, they still put sales before customer service and dealing with firmware and software issues that thousands of customers are experiencing for close to two months now. DJi should be grateful for dedicated and passionate people like yourself who do care about usability after point of sale.

Hi Gavin. I've downloaded Fly App 1.4.8 on my Galaxy A7 lite tablet. Powered up the controller & drone but the app has not changed...still remains the same version 1.11.4. I'm stumped how to get this 1.4.8 installed on the controller & drone. Can you help?

Man thanks for providing those old versions! I had to download the old 1.5 version to get my Samsung s22 ultra to work with the fly app. Unbelievable that an earlier version will work but they, can't update the current version to accepts Samsung's flagship phone. Sad.
