I’m 26 years old. Quit my job. Working on a few companies. This chapter of my life has truly made me open my eyes up to the degeneracy of my/our generation. And by degeneracy I am not talking about full fletched drug users I am talking about the mindset.

It has become more normal to go out and drink and have fun than to stay in work, concentrate on yourself and enjoy your own company. I have so many friends going out getting drunk a lot of the days a week (they are good guys and have jobs they hold down) but they don’t understand, or choose not to understand, that to get to the top you need to break these new “norms.” But I can see in their eyes they’re lost between making progress in life, reaching new levels of success and having fun, chasing girls etc.

It’s difficult especially at my age where you want to go out and talk to attractive people and drink and indulge. I have more people trying to break the lifestyle I am trying to adopt than encourage it. The urges are there. I will prevail though.
