Buying luxury, designer bags at very expensive prices, can lead us to believe they should be above normal priced bags, somehow better.. stay perfect, do not wear, and be a quality above that which is on the high street. They are however, still bags, and if we use them, they will show signs of wear. In this video I share with you the real damage to my bags, the wear and tear caused simply by using them.

I had the same white mark on the side of a patent bag the same as the one on your pink twist bag. I read that you can rub a tiny amount of olive oil on it so I tried it and it worked instantly. Mine was bad so I didn’t mind experimenting as I didn’t think it could make it worse.

my mini sequined baguette is prone to threads getting caught on the part near the flap. So i can't really wear it with fuzzy sweaters unless i hold it by hand. Also a pen cap came off and ended up marking the satin interior.

i don't necessarily expect bags to stand up to extreme damage scenarios, but i would expect them to stand up longer to daily wear.

Great content! Yes, before I had a misconception that if I buy a luxury bag, it will be durable, because everyone is always saying how you pay for the quality.

I use a Fendigraphy as my everyday bag. I love it but of course the FENDI on the bottom of the bag is so scratched, I knew that would happen and am not worried by it. On the plus side because the FENDI bit acts as really good feet thereare no marks on the leather.

Hi Amelia! My Abba bless you. I am glad you made this video. I have an LV vintage speedy I have wanted to take in and have the leather replaced. But I seem to love how old it looks with all its flaws. What would you do? Recently, one of the leather tabs broke in half. Where the lock hangs. But I happen to love how worn it looks. Would you take it in for repairs? Or leave it worn?

I only keep bags that I can feel free to use. Any bags I’ve bought and felt I had to baby or had too much anxiety wearing it to enjoy it, I sold. I use my bags. I expect the wear. Those marks are stories and memories. That doesn’t mean I don’t care for my bags, I do — but I buy them to enjoy. That first scratch is the hardest though. I love that you wear your bags and don’t keep them so precious.

Oh I also have an LV bag (Sperone mini backpack) with bite marks. It’s on the vachette and they are from my cat. Why she decided to chew on that bag I do not know. It’s great seeing you love and enjoy your bags. While I’m not deliberately careless I do the same. The LV canvas can take a lot of love.

I think all my bags have little things and initially I’d get upset about it now I’m much more chill because I use and love my bags. The only time I get upset now is when I do something stupid that I could have avoided.
