Praise God for another chance to minister thru virtual music! Sing For Him Batches 1 and 2 are done. Now what?
I prayed to God for the next step. There are way too many talented choristers out there but to find 7 for the next octet is like looking for a pin in a haystack.
God revealed it to me sooner than I expected! I was excited! I can imagine the beautiful sound this will make! But the next challenge.. The song.
I was able to talk with Kuya Ade about this project and God guided us through.
BE THOU MY VISION was the answer.
This song was premiered by INSPIRARE Vocal Ensemble on Dec 2019 when they were given the chance to minister thru Music at Living Stones SDA Church with the theme "Inspirare Dei Vision". Kuya Ardjames gladly arranged this piece for the group and later shared it to me for this collab.
Be Thou My Vision is the song of new life.
It’s the song of the new life of St. Patrick, who shined his light for Christ. It’s the song of the new life in Ireland, where dead paganism gave way to centuries of vibrant faith. It’s the song of new life in the singer’s heart, where God shines His forgiveness in a sinful soul. And it is the song of new life for the hymn itself, which millions now enjoy again after centuries of obscurity.
No one’s story is done whose pages rest in the hands of the Father. No song is too old that it cannot be sung again in the choir of God’s grace. Be Thou My Vision is a reminder that man’s ways are not God’s ways. The mist descends in the hills and rises to the sky. The mossy mountains crumble and groan. But the grace of God shines bright, as it did on Slane Hill in the days of Saint Patrick.
No matter where we are in life, the Lord is our light and our strength. He watches over us and stands by our side. The powerful lyrics of 'Be Thou My Vision' are the perfect reminder of His love and presence. This 8th century Irish hymn is still relevant today and the story behind the song is absolutely amazing. What a beautiful hymn to lift our voices and sing praises to His name.
