Who complained about your speech? You haven't a speech impediment, you are simply thinking as you are speaking - recording in one unbroken take... and it's ok, I like your style... you an energy that is soley missing on many reviews.... keep it, and your speaking as it is ;-)

There is a small app called 'gexec' that used to be a default feature of Puppy Linux. I keep a copy of this 'pet' & install it on the later versions of Puppy which have deprecated it. It allows you to put a small asterisk icon on the panel. I keep mine next to the menu. Clicking on this will open a search dialogue to launch applications.

This distro is fantastic! My favorite distro and my daily driver for years. Setting desktop background, samba shares etc.. is super easy and fast. Getting work done is fast as well. I record all my radio shows for the station I work at, using xenial pup. Searching files with pfinder, setting up cronjobs is easy as well. Installing apps with the puppy package manager is great. Backing up and cloning drives is straight forward. Checking md5sums on iso files is easy as well using a cool GUI utility which is included with xenial pup. So much to like!! 😀

Great video by the way. At the beginning it can take a while to figure things out in puppy but once things start to click, you will discover this little gem is really something else. Let me know if you need additional help or have questions.

Any issues with the mouse input not working on the OS fully installed to the hard drive?

For app installation go to your menu and select setup/puppy package manager. Click on the configure package manager icon third from the left and then cclick on update database/update now. This will update the repos. Once you do this and puppy package manager restarts you can install apps from the ubuntu xenial repos.

For theming right mouse click go to your menu and select desktop/JWM desk manager.

This is a beautiful puppy linux. I did a frugal install. It is so fast no ssd is required. I am a big fan of Xenial pup. It can be completely configured to have Thunderbird email client, LibreOffice 6.0 and VLC media player. I also use it to get information of of hard drives that have been used. All of the apps are simple and fast and the icons can be taken off of the desktop. When you get the hang of puppy linux you will grow to love it. There is a search function look in the file system and it is under file finder. There is a lot to study. Xenial pup also works well with new computers. Putting it in a virtual box does not do justice to this distro. I also use puppy linux tahr and xenial pup as my everyday use computers.

I have this on a thumb drive, runs quite well. I'm always looking for
new distributions like this; especially if they happen to have alpha
channel for colour. Colour like Windows 10, does anyone know of
such a Linux distribution.

As an aside, how do you establish chat with persons on the web,
there used to be dial up BBS's .

sr0 = serial rom drive. The OS knows this is your first install because it didn't find a .sfs file on any storage media device. If you double click like Microsoft Windows you will have 2 instances of the application open on your desktop. Linux is typically one click unless you change the setting in your desktop tools. Eight O'Clock International time is twenty hundred hours. Not your virtual box. The problem is you host OS for the VM application. Quickpet is not the software center, Puppy Package Manager, (PPM) is. It is a software distribution application but not the primary one. Quickpet is an easy to use cut down version of the Puppy Package Manager. Themes are found in the Desktop Menu under the main menu. Whether Puppy is installed on your computer, flash drive or DVD makes no difference. It may perform slower if using it from DVD than HDD. Before giving your recommendation about a particular operating system you should use it to become familiar with it first. Not a great review because you show your own weaknesses rather than the operating system's weakness. Puppy is a very robust, light weight operating system. It uses the same kernel that most distributions use. The extra bulk, baggage, has been removed by the developers of each version of Puppy. I use various versions of Puppy for Microsoft Windows users and others not familiar with the Linux OS for them to try. Their greatest fear is that I will mess up their current operating system on the hard drive. Once that fear is over I sit back and watch as they figure out the OS and how simple it is to use. They may stumble around as you did but eventually they figure things without any intervention from me. My negative comments are suggestions for your future videos. Don't let my suggestions discourage you from making future videos.

I see that you keep opening two instances of the same program because you're a Windows user that likes to double click in Puppy Linux one click is the rule that's why you keep getting to Windows every time that's why you're confused you just don't know how to use Puppy Linux that's why you don't like it

Too bad all Linux is ugly. It's like the Linux community doesn't have graphic designers.
