Anyone remember the game away to Arsenal that year? 1-1 with about 20 minutes to go and Arsenal have a man sent off. What does Rafa do? Take off a striker for a defender and sees out the draw.
11 draws that season is why Liverpool didn't win the league. Of those 11 games, most of which were away games, if they had lost 6 and won just 5 of them, they would have been champions.
Rafa treated the league like a 2 legs cup competition where an away draw is a good result. That shit doesn't work in a 38 game league.
