Νίκος Δαμάτης: Δήλωση για το 1ο Περιφερειακό Φόρουμ Βιομάζας | Biomass Regional Forum 2024

Ο Νίκος Δαμάτης είναι Διπλωματούχος Μηχανικός Παραγωγής & Διοίκησης, με μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο Master of Science στη Μηχανική Συστημάτων Παραγωγής από το Πανεπιστήμιο Warwick Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. Είναι μέλος του ΤΕΕ και του Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Διαθέτει εκτεταμένη εμπειρία σε έργα εγκατάστασης και λειτουργίας μεταποιητικών μονάδων στον κλάδο αξιοποίησης υπολειμμάτων και παραπροϊόντων βιομάζας για παραγωγή βιοενέργειας, στερεών βιοκαυσίμων πελλετών και μπρικετών, πελλετοποιημένων ζωοτροφών και κοκκοποιημένων οργανικών λιπασμάτων. Σήμερα είναι Διευθυντής Τμήματος Ανάπτυξης του Ομίλου ITA, αναλαμβάνοντας αναλύσεις – μελέτες σκοπιμότητας και σχεδιασμό νέων έργων ΑΠΕ με έμφαση στον τομέα της βιοενέργειας.

Παράλληλα, είναι Γενικός Γραμματέας του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Ανάπτυξης Βιομάζας (ΕΛΕΑΒΙΟΜ – HellaBiom), ενός μη κερδοσκοπικού οργανισμού, από τους πρώτους συνδέσμους ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας που ιδρύθηκαν στην Ελλάδα και μέλος του ευρωπαϊκού ομόλογού του “Bioenergy Europe”. Η ΕΛΕΑΒΙΟΜ προωθεί τη βιώσιμη αξιοποίηση της βιομάζας σε περιφερειακό και εθνικό επίπεδο προς όφελος των τοπικών κοινοτήτων, του περιβάλλοντος και της οικονομίας.

Nikos Damatis is a Dipl. Production & Management Engineer, with a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). He has extensive experience in development projects and operation of processing facilities in the sector of valorization of biomass residues and by-products for the production of bioenergy, solid biofuel pellets and briquettes, pelletized animal feed and granulated organic fertilizers.

Today he is Business Development Manager at ITA Group, undertaking analyses, feasibility studies and planning of new RES projects, with an emphasis on the bioenergy sector. At the same time, he holds the position of Secretary General of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Biomass Association (HellaBiom), a non-profit organization, one of the first associations of renewable energy sources established in Greece and a member of its European counterpart “Bioenergy Europe”. HellaBiom promotes the sustainable valorization of biomass at regional and national levels to the benefit of local communities, the environment and the economy.
