Welcome to Cookie's Critters.

We are reptile breeders in Western Sydney and this channel is to educate our customers and followers. The reptiles that we breed are Central Bearded Dragons, Pygmy Bearded dragons, Knob tail geckos, and Northern Velvet Geckos.

Today we are aim to show you how to build a snake, gecko, skink rack at home. Rack systems allow us to keep more geckos, skinks and snakes than conventional enclosures do.

Here at Cookies Critters we use racks for our Carpet pythons, blue tongue lizards and knob tail geckos. We also have a unique rack for our bearded dragon hatches too, complete with UVB and basking lights.

In the future our expansion will include Blue tongue skink morphs, carpet pythons and green tree pythons.

Please follow us on our other social media platforms.

Please feel free to leave a suggestion for upcoming videos. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Disclaimer: We are not experts, we are reptile enthusiasts sharing our experiences and what works for us. If you have any concerns about the health of your reptile, we always recommend seeking medical treatment ASAP.

For those that are interested in measuring the perfect heat cord, follow these instructions:
1. Find the total height of the rack, minus the height from the top shelf to the top panel. (This allows for the rise in the heat cord).
2. Minus the height from the length of the heat cord, this will give you the usable heat cord for all the shelves.
3. Divide that number by the amount of shelves to give you how much heat cord per shelf.

Tips:
1. Keep your heat cord at least 70-80mm away from the back and sides of the shelf, this will allow for any taper in the tub/container.
2. Aim to keep your heat cord spaced no further away than 50mm from the previous row.
3. Apply heat rated tape to keep heat cord in routed channel.
