I don't think mechanics *hate* reliable cars. They still make money on brakes, tires, oil changes, etc. My mechanic is the one that TOLD me to get a Toyota.

Love my Toyota Highlander an '06 with 150, 000 miles and runs like new. All you have to do is maintain the vehicle and make repairs if needed right away, don't wait for something else to break.

it's kinda sad, but all 3 of my fords have over 250, 000 on them. One has 310, 000, and is about to turn 20 years old. I still drive them cross country.

or or or you can just take care of your car?maybe change the oil when it is required too...idk let your car warm up before blasting off ...stop thinking that every stop light is a drag race and you need to floor it etc etc

The fewer gizmos on your car, the less repairs that are needed. I have a car with wind-up windows; saving lots of money in the process. My car is really simple and doesn't have power accessories to break down.

Can I keep my 79 Volvo 244DL with 1.1 million miles on it ? The AM radio still works as does the factory speakers .
