Hi Kip, thank for the informative video! I bought this same mower but haven’t set it up yet. I have a lot of permanent obstacles in my yard. Is it ok if I don’t create boundary wire islands for trees or thick brush? The mower will bump into things and mow somewhere else, correct?

The only problem I see with the guide wire type is either setting out & removing the guide cable each time or if you leave it out with bad British weather will the rain/snow etc rot the cable ?

not ideal having the base in line with a window, realistically you would want the base unit somewhere more hidden like below a window or something that way the grass and also the machine doesn't look so bad, at least they made the robot a talking point for design with friends and family for the first few visits at least. also ideally you wouldn't want the base unit on grass, so that it doesn't skip anything. looks like the garden is having draining issues though with some grass having lots of water, and some parts not able to get any water hense the nearly dead grass, and the really green patches of grass. maybe a regular chopping of the grass will help with that.

my lawn has lumps and bumps... and 100foot long so would be nightmare for the bot to cut .... would get grounded all the time
