Hello! Today we are making pizza! This is something we love to do together when we want some hot pizza fresh out of the oven! This recipe is yummy, fresh and easy to make. We do this often but in no way are we professionals, pizza gurus, or Chefs. we are simply two people who have a love for pizza and we want to share with you all how easy making pizza at home can be. Below is the recipe that we use every time for our pizza dough, and pizza sauce. We hope you guys enjoy this video and possibly make some pizza!

Ingredients

For Dough:
Flour 3/4 C + 1 Tbs.
Instant Yeast 1/2 Tsp.
Sugar 1/2 Tsp.
Salt 1/2 Tsp.
Water 1/3 C (Room Temp)
Olive Oil 4 Tsp.

For Sauce:
Crushed Tomatoes 1 (8 oz) can
Olive Oil 1 Tbs.
Garlic Clove 1 (large clove)
Hot Pepper Flakes 1/4 Tsp.
Dried Oregano 1/2 Tsp.
Sugar 1/4 Tsp.
Salt 1/4 Tsp.
Pepper to taste

Toppings:

Mozzarella
Basil
Pizza Sauce

There is no set amount because YOU set how much you want, to fix to your taste buds.

Directions for Dough:
Step 1: In a small bowl mix together Flour, Instant Yeast, and Sugar. Whisk together THEN add the Salt. Whisk again, then create a small well in the middle. Add the water in the well and fold the flour onto the well to start mixing. At this point if it is too thick or dry add a little more water, also if to wet and sticking add more flour. Continue mixing until a dough starts to form, it will not be silky smooth, it will look a little rough.

Step 2: In a bowl, cup or jar pour the oil in. Then add your dough, rolling it around to get oil on it. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and let it rise.
At this point you have 2 options:
Option 1: let rise for 1 hour at room temp and bake
Option 2: let rise for 30mins- 1 hour then put in refrigerator for 24 hours. Take out 1 hour before you bake.

Step 3: preheat oven to 475 F and place oven rack on lowest it can go. If you have a baking stone place it on the rack at this point as well, if not then it will still come out delicious.

Step 4: Lift dough out of bowl, shape it into a ball and let sit covered with plastic wrap for 10-15 mins. if it is overly sticking add a little flour or if too thick add a little water and mix together.

Step 5: On a pizza pan, baking sheet or whatever you have, start to shape the dough into a 9-11 inch pizza. Push on the center outward until you get your desired shape/size. Tuck the outside inwards to create a little crust on the edges. Then cover the whole pizza with plastic wrap and let sit for 30-45 mins. This allows the dough to rise slightly more.

This is a great time to start the sauce if you have not already :)

Sauce Directions:
Step 1: In a sauce pan combine all the ingredients. Simmer until you get your desired thickness, about 10-12 mins works great. For a smoother sauce smash down the tomatoes or even blend it all together. Taste and season

Baking:
Once the dough is done with its final rise put the sauce first, Mozzarella, then the fresh basil. Bake for 10 mins and enjoy :)
