I understand why some of the lyrics were omitted in the show, probably due to shortage of running time, or simply doesn't make sense for Glassboy to sing the lyrics like "We've been hanging 'round here since forever".
But man, "There's no cure for who I am anymore" is such a great line that fits Glassboy's story so well.

i love both versions equally, both have the same pure and wholesome vibe. going with the theme of the episode, the song can be sung by anyone to anyone and imo it's the raw emotion that counts

It's funny that a lot of Demos for AT songs are more professional than the final versions because in the actual show they're dirtied up a little to make them feel more realistic because most are supposed to be improvised and not all the characters are canonically singers.
