The same thing happened to me. It took me a lot of work to learn but it's worth persevering!! Learning to ride a unicycle is very difficult for some people but I invite you to PERSEVER! It's one of the best things that has happened to me in my life. ES LIBERTAD!!!

Awesome job guys.
I hope to see more EUC vids in the future.
Love to watch your journey from beginning to moderate to pros on the EUC YT channels.
Eventually, you go do EUC ride vids covering 20-30+ miles in a single vid.
You got this. You can do it.
Plus, love to see you guys upgrading EUC models as you get better & more confident in your ability.

Been riding for about a year (Nikola Plus) and I tend to tell people "It's harder than it looks, but it's easier than you think." when they ask me if it's difficult to ride.

I'm 54 and just learned a few months ago. It took several nights in a row, just over a week to finally make some distance and gain confidence that I could do it. Now, I am working on narrowing my turns, and attempting to try riding backwards and picking up speed and not having any wobbles.

Key problem of beginners is hands. Keep your hands on your chest. Every hand movement brakes balance.

I miss being like this and learning how to ride, it was so much fun. It was not as fast or smooth as this.

You have balls to keep riding those after falling off, when I first started riding those I got frustrated pretty quick, I was practicing in a forest full of roots (maybe that's why it was so hard), but man you're crazy in a good way.

Not to take anything away from you learning it. I think you're actually learning it a lot faster than myself and most people. I want to leave this here for those who are also looking to get into EUC or have just started and just not getting it.

Instead of going in a straight line and just trying to maintain balance and going faster and faster. You should actually slow down. I think 3-8mph is a really good speed for learning because it's fast enough for the gyro to keep you from falling but not too fast that it makes it intimidating to learn how to turn and correct yourself if you lose balance. As seen in the video, you just dump the wheel the moment you lose control of it, because you're going too fast for your skill level and it's intimidating to try to regain control and balance at that speed for you.

The moment you turn left or right unintentionally, because you've lost your balance and the wheel just turns in a random direction, try to also turn into the direction that you are falling. Like riding a bicycle, if you're falling to the left, you turn the handlebar left to straighten out. Go at 3-8mph, try to practice turning, losing your balance, and straightening back out. Just keep practicing this and then once you get a feel for it, then you can speed up a bit more.

I get that Eskate, EUC, and Ebikes even are all about speed, and that is fun, but while you're learning, you don't want to aim for speed. You want to have 100% control over any speed that you're riding at: 1mph, 5mph, 10mph, 30mph, 50mph etc. Work your way up so that no matter what, you know how to control your device.

I still remember when Alyssa was just starting to learn how to ride one. I was just starting to learn when I broke my leg. Haven't dared to get one it again

I’m glad you understood that right-handed people are left foot dominant. Most don’t and the instructor never says anything.

I wish there was a place to rent and practice EUC near me.
I get my first wheel tomorrow and hopefully I can learn fast. I'm going to try and get a group of EUC riders or anyone who's interested together in a large parking lot this weekend. I'm not sure if anyone wants to come watch a newb learn but I'll see.

Huh....the inmotion should be pretty good for beginners. I hadnt noticed how these have those calf pads to help ease the discomfort when you mount at first. Airwheel X3 could have at least rounded that area instead of making it so boxy and painful.

One thing EUC needs to have is security alarm or lock or deactivated feature. Getting stolen a couples of time since these are pretty expensive.

wut? how fast is 50 gps? i did a little research and can't find anything that tells me what gps stands for as far as a rating for speed so i dont know how to translate that into mph or kph.
