1) 2 nd largest element in an array could be calculated in O(n) or O(n log n) but the solution presented here is of O(n²), that is huge Red Flag for any organization.
2) Less focus on basics and and no emphasis on problem solving and data structures and algorithms.(the most important thing). No focus on OOPs.
3) mock interview should be more realistic and a seperate session with the candidate on the areas where improvements are needed on the spot andwers should be avoided but instead notes should be taken so that they can be shared further with stake holders.
4) no need to go in details of lambda, hibernate, AOP, etc etc. Those are advanced implementation of diffent concepts. Please prepare the candidate in those concepts and not the implementation. For example lambda is an implementation but the concept is the Functional programming (at least the basic co relation with class 12 Relation and Functions chapter from maths). Hibernate is a complex tool and any badly written fetch can bring down your production server, so usually a fresher will not be handed to build or manage such system. AOP comes later, First and foremost thing is about Object Oriented programming and SOLID principles.
5) 80-90% questions were more suitable for experienced folks(at least 1-2 years).
Any decent company will hire any fresher and then make them go through several boot camps ranging for months and they teach all these frameworks and programming languages there.
6) so instead of investing time in java, spring hibernate etc for couple of months focus more on data strictures and algorithms. Thatbis what going to help you in the long run.
7) no offence, just trying to give some constructive feedback.
