It's not that I'm against all cars, it's that more cars on the road makes driving a worse experience in general.
If one were to begin replacing more city-based transit infrastructure with trains, as well as more passenger lines across the nation instead of interstate highways, roads would likely still need to exist for rural areas, and you'd still need to leave some road infrastructure around.
But this would be better for the remaining drivers because there's no longer as many idiots causing accidents. Less extensive roads, but with the tradeoff that those smaller roads are easier to drive on, and dare I say more enjoyable to drive on.
