Thank you for this video. Thinking about this, I'm pretty sure I just step straight in my 4 step approach. Gonna definitely work on this because I do have a tendency of missing my mark. Appreciate what you do JR.

That is absolutely true and key. Thanks again, JR. I live in California if and when I get a chance I will be coming to see you.🤙🏿🤙🏿

I have a very short backswing and use a 3 step approach. This will definitely give me something to work on. Thanks

Thank you for the tip. I have a problem hitting my mark or dropping the ball. I will definitely try this.

I tried to crossover for a week or two and it didn’t help my release it made my ball bounce so I went back to my regular steps my ball was cleaner maybe the crossover that was not for me. My coach tried to help me with it didn’t work out I still keep the ball in front in front of me close to my waist

I dont know how to describe it. I do a sort of leg wiggle. My walk path is normal, and my knees flex to the left. This with a large shoulder to waist ratio, it just works for me.
What i have noticed is playing front dots helps more for my accuracy. Slower pace on the approach seems to lead to better control.
Im no professional mind you. But if we're looking for something that feels good and works, it seems to work.

After the exaggerated cross over step is down pat, how far in front of left foot should the second land? Should the heel of the second be place slightly head of the toe of the first step, like you're walking a tight rope or should be exaggerated stride step, heel of second step 14 inches from toe of first step?

I struggle because I have large quads, so even though I do a crossover step, my leg is still sort of in the way, and if I go too far left with my crossover it messes up my footwork

I definitely don't, but I don't have anywhere to incorporate it and don't really see any benefit to doing so for my swing. I use a three step approach and keep the ball above waist height until release. My style is far from conventional, but seems to be working well enough for me.

When I start regressing I still come around my back with the ball even with a crossover step T_T although I suppose it's possible I'm not actually doing it correctly when those issues happen. Something to think about.

I think this is more individually based.

My swing is very existent without the crossover step

I'm not understanding why this drill keeps coming up or why some coaches try to teach it. NOT every pro uses it and does very well without it. I don't use it and I was at a coaching clinic a few weeks ago with the Great Walter Ray Williams Jr and he liked what he seen with my approach except the knee bend and he didn't even talk about it (the cross over step) during the 3 hr clinic.
