Massive Protests Across Pakistan Over Rape Of Female Student | Subscribe to Firstpost

Massive demonstrations continued across Pakistan over an alleged rape of a female college student on campus in Lahore, a city in Punjab province. The incident first surfaced on social media from varied accounts claiming that the rape happened on Thursday or Friday last week. As anger spread over the news of the incident, clashes erupted between police and student protesters across multiple cities. In Rawalpindi, at least 250 demonstrators were arrested after students took to the streets, burning furniture, blocking roads and vandalising a college building. Police retaliated with tear gas and batons to disperse them.
